- You are absoutely right (I said it was a vent, and now I am feeling
- more objective about the whole thing).
-
- I love the modem. It is my second USR, and I think mechanically it is
- flawless. There may be better, or more expensive, but my experience
- with these modems has been totally positive. That was not my beef.
-
- My problem is this: in netscpae, and only netscpape (beta 2.5 and 6) I
- am getting these garbabe characters (looks like ASCI text).
-
- I have asked others who use the program, who do not have the problem,
- so I figure it is not netscpae.
-
- This is a new modem (upgraded my 14.4), so I figure there is something
- in the string, or the dip switch that should help (I could be wrong).
-
- I have gone in and looked at all the settings in the Win95 modem
- stuff. Can the speed setting (115,200) have anything to do with my
- problem?
-
- It is just a little glitchie problem. It only happens once and a
- while, but you know how it is. You want stuff to be right!!
-
- Anyway, I am open.
